How does alternate merge work?

Pages are interleaved by round: first all “page 1”s in your file order, then all “page 2”s, etc. Example: A.pdf (3 pages) + B.pdf (2 pages) → A1, B1, A2, B2, A3.

pdf-lib rebuilds the document from copied pages; outlines/bookmarks from the originals are not merged. For bookmark-heavy files, use Merge PDF if you only need one file after another.

How to use

Set file order

Drag files into the order you want. Mixing always takes page 1 from each PDF in order, then page 2 from each, and so on. Shorter PDFs are simply skipped once they run out of pages.
